"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant."
"I think I know enough to get by, but I mostly draw it from myself." Answered Rose. She didn’t want to go into depth about how it worked as it could give to much away and change his timeline. "I know how to manipulate atoms around me, but only to a certain degree before I lose control."
Rose demonstrated what she could do after a moment of hesitance by turning a rock into dust and letting the molecules float around her. “Does this give you some idea? Or should I try to take off a chunk of that cliff?” She gestured to one of the cliff faces a good thirty feet from them.
Loki’s brow furrowed as she disintegrated the rock, prodding at the little pile of dust with a tendril of magic.
"I thought the idea was to be discreet, not to alert the whole realm? I think even Thor would notice if a dozen hectares simply disappeared…"
He tilted his face upwards to look at the offending cliffs, trying to imagine the feat he had witnessed on that much grander scale.
"Do you find you exhaust yourself more easily than your Magister, by any chance? I’m not entirely surprised you ‘lose control’, if all that power is from your own reserves. That’s living, organic magic, with a mind of it’s own. You’ll find it much easier to redirect magic from your environment, I promise you that."
"It’s complicated, it depends on what I do I guess." She shrugged and crossed her arms. "So where do we start?" Rose didn’t know what to say, while she knew how to fight and use her power, it wasn’t to the skill level Loki or Victor were.
